If you love riding and you’re vacationing on the Big Island, you need to do a ride with Hawaii Epic Cycling. These guys are the real deal, and super fun to chat with on the ride. They take care of everything you need. They are world class champion athletes with tons of useful tips if you want them, and awesome stories to tell if you ask! The Mauna Loa ride is a huge effort with an equivalently huge payoff as you ride through farms on lava, then a solid lava field as far as you can see. The finisher trophy is a treasure! The Captain Cook ride has great points of interest, and the climbs are rewarded with sweeping descents and epic views of the pacific and rain forest in lava. These rides were the highlight of my entire trip to the Islands!

Chris and Flo are top-notch. The experience was one I’ll never forget. What an incredible way to see the most beautiful parts of the island - all without the lines and headache. Will book again next trip!

I just finished an amazing trip up Mauna Loa with Chris! From the pre-ride advice on gearing and clothing to support during the day, it was truly wonderful. He is the consummate professional who made the entire experience highly memorable and fun. It was a first class experience from start to finish!
